So, what happened in season 16? Well, the team was riding on the success of last seasons Nederlandse Tour. Especially Korosec did, and the biggest thing of this season was Korosec holding the #1 rider ranking for some time.
The team stayed in top top 20 all along the season, so entering Germany Tour was possible, which was Frischs big goal. Unfortunately he didn't time his form perfectly, but he got a 2nd place in the GC, which is definitely a good result.
Generally, this season was not as good one day results as wanted, but a lot better tour results than hoped for. More than half of the points/cash came from tours.
We also managed to max out 3 riders during the season. Thorsøe, Bedford and Ørtoft all suffered from premature maxiculation.
A new big talent, Tue 'The Hammer' Hammer, was acquired meanwhile, and is currently being trained. Hopefully this guy will live up to his potentials in the hilly sprints.
Season 16 expectations was:
- Finish training Asger Thorsøe - DONE
- Start training of Stefan Ørtoft - DONE and maxed, including Bedford
- More than 10 results! - DONE 14 results managed.
- At least 1 tour and 1 classic result. - We managed to get tour results, but no classics results.
Other facts about this season:
One day races: 100k and 900 points.
Tour races: 134k and 1106 points.
Korosec 770 points
Soldan 608 points
Frisch 548 points
Pogaenik 80 points
Goals for season 17:
- Finish training Hammer.
- Pogaenik at least 3 results and 500 points.
- Enter Germany Tour.
- More than 10 results.
